Our software accounts for people currently receiving a Social Security Disability Insurance benefit (DIB) based on their own record, which is distinct from a Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefit. Learn more about these two programs. If you or your spouse receive a DIB based on your own work record, you can enter information about it in the initial set up or on the appropriate details screen.

Our software calculates Childhood Disability Benefits (CDBs), formerly known as Disabled Adult Child (DAC) benefits, for a child if you select that the child is disabled. CDBs are based on the work record of a parent, not on the child’s own record. This makes CDBs distinct from both SSI due to income insecurity benefit and from DIBs based on the child’s own work record.

Our software also accounts for SSI benefits a disabled child is receiving as well as DIBs a child is receiving based on their own work record. If a disabled child is receiving a DIB based on their own work record or SSI benefits, you can enter this information in the initial set up or on the appropriate child information screen.
